Ramiro Galván is widely respected for his expertise in the areas of health policy, appropriations, energy, environment, and insurance policy. He is also known for his skills in political fundraising, campaign finance law, and compliance.
Prior to joining Midwest Strategy Group, Ramiro served as Director of Legislative Affairs at the Michigan Department of Health & Human Services (MDHHS), where he was responsible for overseeing the legislative affairs division, constituent services originating with members of the Michigan Legislature, and the development and advancement of MDHHS legislative priorities in collaboration with stakeholders.
In addition to his work at MDHHS, Ramiro worked in the Michigan Legislature as Legislative Director and Chief of Staff to the ranking member on the House and Senate Health Policy committees. Before starting in the Legislature, Ramiro worked as an organizer for a clean energy nonprofit.
Ramiro earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Michigan State University and was selected for a fellowship at the Center for Health & Research Transformation at the University of Michigan.
